Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

We use cookies on this website. By using this website you consent to the use of cookies. Our cookies policy explains what cookies are, how we use cookies, how third-parties we may partner with may use cookies on this service, your choices regarding cookies and further information about cookies.

2. About cookies

Cookies are a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user’s computer by the user’s web browser while the user is browsing. Cookies provide a reliable mechanism for websites to remember stateful information (such as items added in the shopping cart) or to record the user’s browsing activity. More information about cookies can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie.

3. They are two types of cookies we use.

3.1 Session cookies.

  • A session cookie exist only in temporary memory while the user navigates the website. Web browsers normally delete session cookies when the user closes the browser.

3.2 Persistent cookies.

  • A persistent cookie expires at a specific date or after a specific length of time. This means that, for the cookie’s entire lifespan, its information will be transmitted to the server every time the user visits the website it belongs to. These cookies are however reset if the expiration time is reached or the user manually deletes the cookie.

4. Cookies used on our website

4.1 Cookies related to the shopping cart.

  • Woocommerce_cart_hash
  • Woocommerce_items_in_cart
  • Wp_woocommerce_session_
  • We use the cookies above to keep track of cart data. The first two cookies contain information about the cart as a whole and helps our site know when the cart data changes. The final cookie (wp_woocommerce_session_) contains a unique code for each customer so that it knows where to find the cart data in the database for each customer. No personal information is stored within these cookies.

4.2 PHPSESSID

  • The PHPSESSID cookie is native to PHP and enables websites to store serialised state data. On the Action website it is used to establish a user session and to pass state data via a temporary cookie, which is commonly referred to as a session cookie. As the PHPSESSID cookie has no timed expiry, it disappears when the client is closed.

4.3 Third-party cookies.

  • We also use Stat counter to analyze the use of this website and user behavior. You can read Stat counter’s privacy policy at https://statcounter.com/about/legal/.
  • is_unique
    • We solely use it to determine whether you are a first-time or returning visitor on our website and to estimate your accumulated unique visits per site. No personal information is stored in this cookie.
  • sc_is_visitor_unique
    • This cookie is set by our website when you visit it. When it is first set, a random id is generated and stored in the cookie in order to avoid counting you as a visitor more than once (e.g. if you are on a mobile device and your IP address changes while you browse). This cookie also stores a count of your returning visits.
  • Tawk.to cookies
    • We use Tawk.to to provide you with the live chat experience on this site. Tawk.to’s privacy policy can be found at https://www.tawk.to/privacy-policy/.
    • Tawk.to uses cookies to help identify and track visitors, their usage of this website, and their website access preferences.
